Geohidra owns and operates a Geotechnical exploration vessel (Geoexplorer), which is able to carry out undisturbed wireline sampling, CPTU testing, downhole Geophysical tests, and rock coring, all this down to 200 m of depths. The company experience covers Geotechnical studies Offshore Venezuela for PDVSA, Cardon IV, (JV Repsol / ENI), Teikoku, BP, Chevron, Gazprom and recently in the last 2 years, the Geoexplorer successfully completed works in Caribbean waters (for Ecopetrol and Repsol in Colombia), the Pacific (for Pacific Energy in Peru) and in the Gulf of Mexico (Hokchi). In 2006-2007 the exploration for the Third Bridge over the Orinoco River with approximately 9000 m of Geotechnical survey, design of piles foundations and dynamic load tests, were accomplished. Finally in the years 2013-2014 the company carried out the Geotechnical exploration for the second bridge over the Maracaibo Lake. In this work, approximately 8000 m were executed among all soundings, rock coring, CPTU testing, downhole Geophysical surveys. A total of four Jackups were mobilized.
