Anaglyph Vision Mode

Anaglyph vision mode is the simple and accessible stereoscopic viewing mode where the superimposed left and right eye views are displayed in different colors. Glasses with a colored filter like the ones used for 3D movies are needed to produce the three-dimensional effect. The red channel is used for the left-eye view, green or blue for the right-eye view.

Auto Stereo Adjust (Auto Correlation)

Adjusting the elevation of the cursor so that the cursor is on the same detail on both left and right images of a stereo model.

Collection

A collection is a collection of models (refer to models). A collection contains data of the same type or project characteristics (same dat, scale, GSD, etc.)

DEM

A digital elevation model (DEM) is a digital representation of ground surface topography or terrain. This is used to obtain the ground elevation (Z coordinate) at a given point.

Hard Drive Cache

Some space on your hard drive is used to load images for faster and seamless viewing.

Image Memory Cache

Some of your system’s memory is used to load images for faster and seamless viewing.

Kappa Correction

Sometimes one of the two images of a stereo model has a slight rotation. Enabling Kappa Correction fixes this to have a better stereo view.

Model

A model is a mathematical relationship providing the spatial orientation of images. A model can consist of a single image, monoscopic model. In most cases it is referenced to 2 images, with this being called a stereo model.

Mono Vision Mode

The view mode provides the viewing of a monoscopic model or an orthoimage. No special viewing device is required to view and use the imagery. 3D Z coordinates can be provided through the use of the collections associated DEM file.

MyGeoPlayer

MyGeoPlayer is a plugin to IE Internet Browser as well as a standalone application that allows the access and provides tools for the viewing and interaction with MyGeoWorld Collections.

Side-by-Side Vision Mode

A stereo-viewing mode assisted by the use of a mirror stereoscope installed in front of the monitor. The left and right images are displayed “side-by-side” on the monitor. The ocular base of the mirror stereoscope is matched to the imagery base and the user is able to view the imagery in stereo.

Stereo Model

A Stereo model is a model with two images; left and right. This is similar to how the human vision works; left eye and right eye, where the brain analyzes both images to see in 3D.

Stereo-ready Vision Mode

A stereo-viewing mode based on OpenGL that provides crystal clear full resolution stereo. A special video card with stereo-ready capabilities is required, as well as a stereo-ready viewing device. (A List of compatible video cards and viewing devices can be provided upon request – refer to your local representative for more information).

Vector File

All vectors, measurements, symbols and text inserted over a model is stored in a Vector File.

MyGeoPlayer supports the following Vector File formats:
  1. DVP 5.5 and DVP 6 (*.dvp)
  2. DGN V8 MicroStation (*.dgn)
  3. DWG Autodesk (*.dwg)
  4. DXF Autodesk (*.dxf)
  5. Text Point
