Dear All

An International Symposium "micro to MACRO mathematical modelling in soil mechanics"  will be held in Reggio Calabria on May 29 – June 1, 2018.

The deadline for the abstract submission is approaching and I hope that you and your coworkers could submit an abstract for the Symposium, which promotes all of the TC105 objectives.

Topics are various (continuum modelling, mechanics of porous materials, multiphase flows, discrete element modelling, micro-macro in soil-mechanics, granular flows, transport phenomena in particulate materials, hydro-thermo-chemo mechanical coupling, mechanics of saturated and unsaturated soils, laboratory testing and modelling) and both papers related to modelling and to computational or experimental aspects are welcome.

As you can see from the website http://www.microtomacro2018.unirc.it/ we tried to keep the conference fees conference fees as low as possible especially for young researchers.

I ask you to extend this message to colleagues potentially interested to the symposium and I really hope to see you in Reggio Calabria next year.
