As many of you may know the ISSMGE has their next webinar scheduled for 19 December 2011. There will only be one live session instead of 2 due to the time difference and busy schedules. There will be a recording available the next day.
Date and time
The next ISSMGE Webinar will be on the 19th of December, 2011. The topic will be “Eurocode-7 Past, Present, and Future”. The live session time will be at UTC 3:00pm (15h00). The webinar will last 90 minutes.
Registration and cost
This webinar will be free of charge once more due to further complications with our online payment system. I will send the registration links out next week. You will need to register ahead of time. I will send you the link. Just click the link and fill in the requested information. You should receive a confirmation of your registration. It is best to do that ahead of time so if you have problems you can contact me by email for help.
Computer and Internet Requirements
The minimum connection speed required is 54kps, which is the same as a dial-in connection. Once you are connected, you will be delivered to the Cisco network. WebEx runs on all known operating systems and browsers. The only other requirements are that you have Java and speakers. If you do not have java you can get this free download at http://java.com/en/
To hear the audio of the webinar please do not use the telephone. Select the choice to use “Voice Over IP”. The contract we have signed with WebEx allows us to use “voice over IP” for you to hear the speakers voice. Do not use your telephone line or you will pay for the call (the webinar will last 90 minutes). Some areas of the world have toll free numbers, but that means that the ISSMGE must pay for your call. For “voice over IP” to work, you should only need speakers on your computer.
Interaction during the webinar
When you are connected during the webinar, you will see the slides that the speaker will show and you will hear their voice but you will not be able to talk to them. All attendees will be muted automatically. You may communicate and ask questions by using the chat box on the lower right corner of the screen once connected. There is normally not enough time to do a question answer session, so any questions you have I will send to the speaker in an email, and they can answer afterwards in an individual email to you.
Please let me know if you have further questions, and I will be glad to help. Thank you for your interest, and I will send more information next week!
