MS and PhD Opportunities.
Hello, I am searching for a highly motivated, highly qualified student interested in obtaining an MS or a PhD in the numerical modeling of rockfill dams. The work will include development of a hyperbolique model of rockfill behavior (based on Duncan et al. 1980) that will include: a) dilation, b) anisotrophy, c) the effect of compaction stresses, and d) particle breakage. Plaxis and FLAC will be used for the modeling. Students interested in the development of a constitutive model of soil liquefaction are also welcomed. Excellent communication skills in French or English are required. The accepted students will be funded for the duration of the work. Please contace me for more information.
