Research opportunities for MS and/or PhD level students


Hi, my name is Adda Athanasopoulos-Zekkos and I am the site administrator for the Geotechnical Earthquake Engineering and Soil Dynamics Forum. I have recently joined the faculty in the Civil & Environmental Engineering Dept. at The University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, after completing my PhD at UC Berkeley. My research interests are: geotechnical earthquake engineering (specifically soil liquefaction, soil-structure interaction and seismic slope stability), static and dynamic response of soft soils and organic soils in the lab and the field, numerical analyses and soil modeling.
