My name is Demostenes A. Cavalcanti Jr. I’m a Civil Engineer, Master of Science in the field of Geotechnical Engineering. Currently I’m Professor at the Department of Civil Engineering of the Federal University of Sergipe and also Technical Director (owner) of the Company GEOTEC CONSULTORIA E SERVICOS LTDA., headquartered in the city of Aracaju, state of Sergipe, Brazil. Founded by me in 2000 and having in its technical staff Civil Engineers, postgraduates in Geotechnical Engineering from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro and the Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo, two of the most prestigious Brazilian universities, we have been participating as designers of foundations and retaining walls in numerous projects (Commercial and Residential Tall Buildings, Shopping Malls, Factories, Wind Farms, Thermo-Power Plants, Refineries, Mining, Great Bridges and Roads, etc.).
