With our team of programmers and researchers (with mechanical engineering backgrounds) at Umny Inc., we develop accurate Artificially Intelligent (AI) software to model the complexity of the ground. Using a careful combination of physics-based modelling combined with Machine Learning (ML) algorithms our "grey-box" software integrates real-world sensor data to characterize ground properties and geothermal performance across the world. We work closely with our clients to provide R&D and technical consulting from our team of experts with academic to hands-on experience. Data collected and generated in this process is then seamlessly integrated into proprietary ML software for our clients use. This process is how we helped an emerging geothermal company model, test, and design their new commercial components - and then we developed their own custom software that predicts the performance of this new in-ground heat exchanger in any new conditions. This tool allows them to easily perform parametric studies on their design features, provide extremely fast feasibility testing on capacity for new clients, and diagnose and predict performance of existing systems. Umny Inc. is also focused on developing AI remote sensing apps that increase the global knowledge of the details of the ground to improve the performance of geothermal systems everywhere. For example, we've built public tools that accurately predict the temperature and thermal conductivity below ground in any soil type. Simply input the date, time, and depth to generate your prediction within seconds. We create these applications with our expertise and experience in the field of geothermal energy, numerical modeling, and thermodynamics, and we validate them against real-world measurements from academic sources in all land types.
