Dear PGS members and friends:
On behalf of the organizing committee I am pleased to announce that the 2013 Purdue Geotechnical Society Workshop and the 11th G.A. Leonards Lecture will take place on Friday, April 19, 2013.
The theme for this year's workshop is "Soilmakers: Engineering Soil for Geoenvironmental Applications", which aligns with the expertise and contributions of our Leonards Lecturer, Professor Craig Benson of the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
We are thrilled that Professor Benson has accepted our invitation to offer the Leonards Lecture, as he truly examplifies the qualities of scholar, educator and engineer that Jerry Leonards valued in members of our profession.
Attached is a call for presentations (no proceedings papers are required) with more information. We need a response to this call by February 22, 2013.
We are working on putting together a great program, and hope you will choose to contribute to it.
We look forward to having you at Purdue for the 11th edition of what has become a geotech Spring tradition.
