Hi,
I am currently pursuing MS in Geotechnical Engineering from UTP, Malaysia by research mode. I am working on organic soil stabilization. Organic soil is formed by decaying of plants and minerals. I am looking for researchers around the world to conduct collaborative research in the same area. Anyone working on peat/organic soil stabilization are cordially invited to contact freely for collaborative research.
You may contact me via email: [email protected]
Thanks,
Best Regards,
Afnan Ahmad
In Earthen Dam construction, what's the optimum number of passes to recommend for both smooth wheeled and sheep-pad compacter? Assuming the both compacters are 15 tonnes?
Dear GeoWorld Network,
I am currently undertaking my MSc degree at the University of Portsmouth (UK). For my dissertation project I have chosen Geotechnical Lab Testing; and your help would be greatly appreciated. I have created a survey to aid me in my research and I was wondering if you could spare five minutes of your time to take part in the survey.
Please see the link below.

Many thanks in advance. Kind regards.
Hello,
My class and I performed a unconfined compression test which ended up creating a 50 degree angle of failure on our sample of clay. I am unsure about this question could you please help me.
Can you infer a failure plane orientation based on the envelope ? How does your observed failure plane compare with your envelope?
This is likely to have been an undrained strength so in that case you could have gotten an Su not friction angle.
