Dr. Tiwari, On our initial read we have some preliminary claifications that we would like. We have found no clarification thread so far, therefore we are listing them here. 1. Under 10.B, Execution - Construction Stage, there is no mention of the time given to fabricate the wall and/or attach the reinforcement to the wall. Will this be timed seperately from loading of the backfill? 2. Under 10.c, Execution - Loading Stage, there is a reference to Figure 5. There does not appear to be a Figure 4 or Figure 5. Will a figure be added or is listed dimension of 5" from the front wall comprehensive? Thank you for your consideration, ASCE CSUN

Dr. Tiwari, Concerning the page limit of the report, are we able to have 3 pages of word content and unlimited pages of Tables and Figures as long as we include in the 3 pages of word content "See Figure XX or Table XX"? Or are we exclusively limited to 3 pages of all word content and tables and figures?

As I mentioned earlier, submissions are exclusively limited to 3 pages including texts, tables, and figures. Please refer to the rule.

Dr. Tiwari, Can tables and charts be significantly reduced in size as long as the resolution allows them to be clearly seen in a PDF if the reader zooms in on the images?

No. Tables and figures should be legible without using the zoom function in PDF document.

Dr Tiwari, We are wondering if teams are allowed to request more kraft paper length then they orginally submitted on the report? We were also wondering when are the heats for the competition going to come out. Thanks. -Jose Rodriguez, Csula Team Captian

1. Yes, you are allowed to ask for more Kraft paper. But please let us know before hand so that we have enough paper puchased for the competition. There is no penalty on asking for more Kraft paper as your final mass is the mass of the Kraft paper that you use for your wall. 2. The heats will be announced in a couple of weeks.

Dr. Tiwari. The Cal Poly Pomona Team would like to increase the amount of paper initially requested from 99 inches to 110 inches. Also, wood stain seeped onto the other side (interior) of our walls in a few places, is this within the standards? According to section 6: sandbox part b states the box must have a planar inside surfaces with the natural plywood finish."Seepage
