The first forum between the Incheon National University (INU) and the LN Gumilyov ENU was held at the LN Gumilyov ENU (ENU). L.N.Gumilev “The first ENU-INU forum” on the development of the geotechnical infrastructure of megacities and the new capitals TS305 (ISSMGE) on February 24-26, 2019. In the framework of it’s a memorandum of cooperation was signed for realizing of joint educational postgraduate program in Architecture and Civil Engineering.

The First Vice-Rector - Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Professor Assemgul Moldazhanova expressed in her speech at the Opening Ceremony of forum about importance of universities integration, especially in terms of educational and research programs of postgraduate education.

Prof. Ju Moon Park - Dean of College of Urban Sciences of the Incheon National University in his welcome speech highlighted the importance of cooperation between L N. Gumilyov ENU and Incheon National University, and also noted that INU is making great efforts for cooperation, expanding and exchange of experience with other educational and scientific organizations in order to implement the double-degree educational programs, including L N. Gumilyov ENU.

A memorandum of cooperation was signed at the Forum for realizing of joint double-diploma educational postgraduate program in Architecture and Civil Engineering. The Vice-Rector for International Relations and Innovations Ph.D., Professor Baubek Somzhurek was attended on behalf of ENU at the MOU Signing Ceremony, from Incheon National University the MOU was signed by Prof. Ju Moon Park, Dean of College of Urban Sciences. The parties exchanged documents and outlined a plan for implementation step by step of this educational program.

As a special guest at the Opening Ceremony of the First ENU-INU Forum between L.N. Gumilyov ENU and Incheon National University gave a speech an Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to the Republic of Kazakhstan H.E. Mr. Kim Daesik.

The plenary session was devoted to general issues on the development of urban infrastructure. A keynote lecture was delivered by Vice-President for Asia of ISSMGE, Professor Eun Chul Shin (Department of Civil and Environment Engineering, Incheon National University).

Forum’s delegates visited the Faculty of Architecture and Civil Engineering of ENU, where the Director of ENU-lab Prof. Lukpanov R.E. together with colleagues of the departments "Design of buildings and structures" and "Technology of Industrial and Civil Engineering" conducted a technical tour at the laboratories and showed to the delegates’ the current activities of ENU-lab.

Then there was a meeting of delegates with the members of department of Architecture in the framework of it the delegates visited educational rooms and saw the architectural exhibition projects.

On the same day within the forum a technical tour took place at the Astanagenplan, LLP which organized by the Department of Architecture of the ENU under supervision of the Head of Department of Architecture Prof. Sara Sadykova.
