Description
Purpose: To enhance the strong bond and working relationship among alumni, faculty, students, and staff of the Geotechnical Engineering group at Purdue University for the benefit of all.Membership: All past and present students, faculty, and staff are eligible for membership.Benefits: Participation in PGS activities PGS Web Page PGS Listserve for membership Access to papers, reports, and other technical literature Access to students for Co-Op and Summer Interns Opportunities for collaborative research Activities: Meetings for the Gerald A. Leonards Lecture and other special events. Informal gatherings at regional, national, and international conferences Assist with fellowships, cooperative research efforts, field trips, social programs, and other special events. Others as opportunities become available. Costs: There is no initiation or membership fee. Costs for events will be covered from registration fees. Members are encouraged to contribute through the School of Civil Engineering to the full funding of the G.A. Leonards Graduate Fellowship, honoraria for the G.A. Leonards Lecture, the C. William Lovell Lectureship, and to support PGS benefits and activities.
