The Swiss Geotechnical Association aims to promote knowledge in the fields of soil mechanics, foundation engineering, rock mechanics, underground constructions and engineering geology as well as their application to the construction industry.
The association consists of approx. 300 individual members and 90 collective members, which represent federal offices, public administrations, university institutes, engineering firms and construction contractors.
Each year two conferences take place which offer presentations, discussions, demonstrations and technical visits. Written versions of the presentations are published and can be downloaded from the website.
