      1. Analyzed contracted prices vs. the cost of execution giving, as a result, a decrease of
      33% in expenses.

Also, was in charge of leading the payment to subcontractors, meaning that I measured real executed quantities vs. planned quantities, and taking control of the fees for banks and profit for partners. Budget: 200,000 USD
      • Duties: Oversee the flow of cash, prepared the reports for payments to subcontractors, analyze costs, pricing and negotiate with subcontractors, partner communications, management of changes, and construction monitoring for the three contracts.
      • Achievements:
      1. Negotiated the prices with tier one contractor and got an increase of 50% due to
      execution reasons.
      2. Programmed the compression execution of activities in the critical chain method
      decreasing two months of time and eventually the cost.

    • In this company, I worked on many projects, such as; aqueduct system, road construction, structural design, and cost estimation.
      a. Duties: Junior engineer for the construction of a water pipeline. Duties included change management, and construction management of the raw water collection point, sand trap, storage tank (90 m3), 1301 m of the pipeline between 4" and 8" diameter and testing of the system. Analyzed the pressure head of the matrix and completed a structural analysis of the walls that contain the valves. Budget: 200,000 USD 

      b. Duties: Project management, cost baseline, schedule baseline, support to CEO. Control and monitoring of scope, time, and cost, and closing procurement documentation. Finally, the delivery of 18,920 m2 of rigid pavement, 8,800 ml of ditches and one cross sewer. Budget: 2,600,000 USD
      c. Duties: Reinforced concrete wall design for the project "Yumbo river." reviewed the initial design and re-design for the later execution by us as a contractor.
      d. Cost estimation for six schools.
      e. Achievements:
      1. Distribution of water for a poor community in the Colombian Pacific. 12 stretches for tertiary roads, design for retaining walls, and cost estimation.
      2. Provided budget oversight and management advice around the real cost of a road project.
      3. Handled the negotiation with the government and getting capitalized advantages in construction around 100K USD.
      4. Detract the government budget around an aqueduct system due to ignorance in the execution area of the project, getting 30K USD+ for the contract.

      I worked as a leader on-site for the construction of a building project. I was involved in site supervision, logistic design, materials quality, the position of the tower crane, making decisions and project reports to my chief. Budget: 12,000,000 USD
      • Duties: Project K-108 TEKA & NOGAL (Building Project – 1 Tower – 80 Apartments, Building Project – 5 Towers – 400 Apartments): Logistics management during construction execution, ribbed slab foundation management (4050 m2) (10 floors - Walls in concrete), procurement management, stakeholders management, ensuring baseline, quality management. Installation of the tower crane, sewer design for the grey water coming from the construction. I helped in the calculated center of mass for prefabricated concrete applied to tower crane equilibrium by order of the construction director.
      • Achievements:
      1. Designed the model of execution of the project getting earnings around 6K USD in
      movements of the tower crane.
      2. Analyzed the blocks for tower crane during erection, project activities and disassembly.
      3. Led the compressing in the schedule of tasks getting a reduction of 10 days and an
      overproduction of 10 apartments, as savings of 17K USD in administration.

      Site engineer, J.A.V.B., Cali, Colombia 06/2014 – 06/2015
      My job was managing everything for the construction of two projects, one in El Valle del Cauca, Colombia and another in Cauca, Colombia. Both were projects about road construction. I made decisions, took responsibilities, and delivery of the final product.
      • Duties: Management of the start process of work with state entity, management of internal planning and establishment of baseline scope, time and cost, management of project acquisitions and direct communication with project stakeholders, quality management, monitoring the performance of the project team and successful delivery to the client, Townhall of Palmira, of 7,000 m2 of rigid pavement on a footprint plate and 800 ml of gutter. Likewise, it was possible to demonstrate to the auditing firm that the reinforcing steel designed for the project was inadequate because of the null effect of it on the forces exerted on the plate, generating a change in design during the execution of the project.
Budget: 285,000 USD
      • Management of the start process of work with state entity, management of internal planning, performance measurement of heavy machinery, acquisitions of the entire project, negotiation with stakeholders, quality management and successful delivery to client of 2,080 m2 of pavement, two (2) gabion walls, improvement to 11,700 m2 of road and eight (8) box culverts. The gabion walls were designed “in situ” as well as the retaining walls in concrete since the initial designs presented faults due to the irregularities of the terrain. Budget:285,0000 USD
      • Achievements:
      1. Negotiated all construction materials for the project, getting savings of 50KUSD.
      2. Invented a new system for concrete production given, as a result, save time and cost. 3. Managed stakeholders around the definition of scope and cost-based-on scope.
      4. Demonstrated the unworkability of the steel for this kind of pavement.

      Site Supervisor, C&C Construcciones y consultoría structural S.A.S., Yumbo, Colombia 02/2014 – 06/2014
      • Duties: Supervision of the reinforced concrete structure of the Bright Beer Tanks of Cervecería del Valle expansion project. This project involved excavations of approximately 180 m3, flooring cleaning, reinforcement steel installation, and concrete pouring. Finally, approximately 1” thick plates were used for the installation of the tanks on the concrete geometries, which were supervised. And revision of reinforcing steel according to ACI-318. Budget: 100,000 USD

      • Achievements:
      1. Supervised the construction of a reinforced concrete structure for the Bright Beer Tanks 2. Analyzed the design plans according to the Concrete Standard
      3. Controlled the consumption of material
      4. Oversaw the steel installation due to the delicate situation of the structure
