Offshore duties include directing drilling operations, maintaining shift activity logs and laboratory equipment, soil and rock sample logging and description, laboratory testing including: Miniature Vane, Torvane, Pocket Penetrometer, Unconsolidated Undrained (UUs) and Point Load Tests, preparing samples for onshore testing, processing of PCPT data, preparing preliminary borehole logs, processing geotechnical data, preforming real time engineering calculations.
Onshore duties include QA of field data, processing of onshore laboratory data, liaising with onshore soil testing laboratories, the classification of soil and rock to relevant standards, preparing risk assessments, collaborating with creating reports for the various phases of the project, finalising of borehole logs and design soil profiles and performance of engineering analyses for jack-up spudcan penetration, pile capacity and driveability assessments.
Projects include: Offshore Gabon, Congo, Nigeria and Baltic Sea for jack-up, pile and pipeline assessment
