Develop the strategic planning of the technical disciplines of Geotechnics and Hydrogeology in the long term;
Develop and manage costing budgets and SIB (Stay In Business) for the geotechnical and hydrogeological needs of the Business units;
Ensure compliance with the legal requirements for the safety of dams, slopes, dikes and piles, including the program of independent, external and internal technical audits;
Ensure the execution of geotechnical risk management programs in the areas of mine slopes, waste rock piles and dams;
Meet Anglo American technical governance standards including the GTS (Global Technical Standards) TS 602 and 401;
Ensure the preparation / contracting of geotechnical and hydrogeological studies and projects for Anglo American business units;
Provide support to LP Planning teams in the evaluation cycles of mineral resources and reserves, through the definition of geotechnical parameters and guidelines;
Provide support to the Environmental Licensing teams in the licensing processes necessary for the continuity of the project, through studies and projects;
Solid interface with Anglo American plc's global functions, highlighting the Technical & Sustainability Group;
Ensure the application of the SHEC policy (Safety, Healith, Environnental and Community), through deployments in specific programs;
Manage people and ensure the development of the team, focusing on high performance within the Geotechnics and Hydrogeology Management;
Ensure an adequate and sustainable interface with internal and external customers;
Manage contracts for the provision of services and/or materials;
Assess critical risks, as well as meet legal requirements and external bodies;
Comply, enforce and provide the necessary resources to ensure the implementation of the Safety and Operational Health and Environment policy and procedures;
Representing the company to various stakeholders, in line with Anglo American's values, policies and goals;
Management, Preparation, implementation, governance and monitoring of the Water Resources Management Plan of Minas-Rio (WMP – Water Management Plan); Global Water Management Standard;
Responsible for the long-term Hydrogeological model of the operational units.
