My professional experience has developed (and is always in a continuous phase of evolution and updating) in the central-northern part of the Italian territory as well as in the Province of Parma.
In fact, my profession leads me to deal mainly with topics strongly related to environmental issues with particular reference to the execution, management and development of Plans for the characterization of contaminated sites through the design and execution of surveys that lead to the monitoring of soil, air, gas and groundwater matrices.
In this sector, I would like to point out in particular a work of characterization of a landfill area with the construction and monitoring of piezometers and soil analysis (work carried out as a consultant of the former Chelab environmental analysis laboratory of Resana - TV in the first instance and then of the Alfa Solution environmental analysis laboratory of Reggio Emilia).
Still in the environmental field, there are also other similar works (e.g. removal of underground tanks and/or land management) related to the characterization of contaminated sites with the execution of characterization plans and execution of risk analyses (Legislative Decree 152/06) and preparation of remediation plans, all with the support of accredited laboratories for the execution of the analyses.
I have been a consultant for Golder Associates since 2015 (since January 2023 it has become WSP) and I have been a consultant for ITGroup srl from 2014 to 2021 for which I carry out construction site (and documentary) activities in the management of problems related to the management of fuel sales points (AQA – groundwater sampling and more).
In 2016, again in the name and on behalf of Golder Associates, I carried out continuous consultancy at a company that deals with Soil & Gas regarding the due diligence activity in environmental matters (examination of characterization plans and risk analysis). From 2019 to 2021 I was a consultant for the development of an order with SNAM for the survey of geological problems concerning methane pipelines.
Also with WSP, since September 2022 I have been part of the HSEQ team of the ENI plant in Bolgiano (S. Donato M.se) to manage waste practices
I have also been a consultant for the Ecotherm company for activities related to the management of environmental issues.
In addition, it is worth mentioning the management of environmental issues and due diligence carried out for the purchase and sale of active and disused fuel points of sale and the management of excavated earth and rocks according to the previous and current regulations in force.
I also deal with groundwater sampling with both traditional and "Low-Flow" methodology, soil gas and biogas sampling both from piezometer (or borehole) and with capture chamber.
At the same time, I worked on mineral waters. In particular, my expertise concerns the planning of geological investigations for the development and obtaining of Mining Concessions for the purpose of research, exploitation and management of mineral waters from a historic source in the Parma area.
Following this assignment, I also held the position of mining manager at the same sources.
I have also been a consultant for Norda S.p.A. (now Acque Minerali d'Italia) for the realization of Environmental Impact Assessments referring to a spring located in the Parma area and of Subject and Incidence Assessments and Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) on other projects on the national territory also in the geothermal field.
In addition, my activity is also carried out through the performance of more purely geological-technical activities (although always related to environmental matters).
In this field, as a consultant for drilling companies, I have gained experience (many years) and held the position of site technical director for the execution of geognostic and environmental surveys along various sections of the High Speed (Milan-Naples section) in particular in the Bologna-Florence section, in the Milan-Genoa and Turin-Milan sections and on the "Pontremolese" railway line near Aulla.
I have also developed experience in spatial planning as a sole designer of mining activities and collaborated in the drafting of several Mining Activity Plans (PAEs).
With some colleagues I am collaborating in the drafting of the General Urban Plans (PUG in accordance with current legislation) of some municipalities in the Province of Piacenza.
At private and public institutions, I carry out geological, seismic and geotechnical reports aimed at defining the characteristics of the territory according to the development of hydrogeological problems (such as definition of building suitability of land, research of groundwater, seismic research with identification of subsoil categories and problems related to the construction of foundations of residential and industrial buildings, etc.).
I have been a consultant on behalf of CTU (Court-appointed Technical Consultant) of the Court of Parma and as a CTP (Party's Technical Consultant).
Starting from the 2015-2016 school year I implemented the dissemination project "The geologist goes to school" in the DD of Via Fratelli Bandiera in Parma at the Padre Lino Maupas School in classes III – IV – V of the primary school and at the comprehensive institute of Noceto (Pr). In the 2018-19 academic year, the "Verdi" comprehensive school in Corcagnano (Pr) was also included.
The project consists of providing pupils with useful information on how to protect themselves in the event of earthquakes, floods and landslides as well as talking to them about more purely geological aspects such as "fossils and dinosaurs", "volcanoes and earthquakes" and "hydrogeological instability".
Since the end of 2018 I have also started popular lessons at the Museum of Natural Sciences in Piacenza on the same topics.
In particular, in the A.S. 15-16 the project had the patronage of the Regional Order of Geologists of Emilia Romagna.
Currently, the project continues, extending to other schools and the Museum of Natural Sciences in Piacenza.
From February 2013 to January 2017 I was a councillor of the Order of Geologists of Emilia Romagna where I was coordinator of the Environment Commission and, in conjunction with the seismic events of 2016 in central Italy, also coordinator of the Civil Protection Commission.
From March 2018 to February 2023 he was a member of the Commission for Landscape Quality (CQAP) of the Municipality of Parma as an expert in the evaluation of VALSAT.

These activities took place sequentially. In the first instance, by developing all the geological and hydrogeological studies necessary to obtain the mining concession for the exploitation of groundwater according to the indications and in compliance with national and regional legislation.
In the second instance (once the authorization to proceed was obtained) the phases of new groundwater research and relations with the bodies in charge of control (Province of Parma, Ministry of Health, Emilia-Romagna Region and Arpae, Abruzzo Region) were then managed for the necessary checks and fulfilments in terms of administrative and health and hygiene regulations.

• Starting from the 2016-2017 academic year, I repeated the project "the geologist goes to school" by giving lectures to the students of the aforementioned schools, to which a frontal lesson was added (for each type of class) concerning the technical aspects "on what to do in case of" earthquake, flood and hydrogeological instability in the daily extracurricular context. To these were added lectures to the population on the same topics. Since December 2018, the project has also been extended to the Museum of Natural Sciences in Piacenza.
• In the 2018-19 school year, the "Verdi" comprehensive school in Corcagnano (Pr) is also included in the cycle of lessons.
