- Lead Geotechnical Engineer for the Gateway Hudson Tunnel Project linking New York and New Jersey. Project involves TBM tunneling for two 28.2 feet diameter tunnels through hard rock, mixed ground and soft soils beneath the Hudson River and SEM excavation for nine cross passages. Temporary support for cross passages included rock bolts and dowels with rock mass grouting in hard rock, and ground freezing in soft ground. TBM tunneling crosses zones of faults and decomposed rock. Ground improvement included deep soil mixing and jet grouting.
