As a geotechnical engineer in the Bay Area with Haley & Aldrich, Inc., I contributed to projects that ensure the stability and safety of the region’s complex infrastructure, from urban development to transportation systems and public works. I specialized in understanding and addressing the interaction between soil, rock, and built environments, which is critical in a region with seismic risks and diverse soil conditions. My role included conducting soil compaction assessments, monitoring tieback testing and CPT drilling, managing borehole sampling and inclinometer readings, and overseeing construction management.
I’ve directed field testing and construction activities, ensuring safety and quality compliance, and have contributed to expert witness litigation through site inspections and legal document review. Additionally, I’ve managed emergency road repairs, embankment construction, tieback testing, and concrete pours.
Furthermore, I have provided input to liquefaction analysis, sheet pile stability analysis, and seismic damage evaluation to geotechnical reports.
