In 2015, whilst doing my third year of study at university, I did 2months practical job with Department of Works in Mount Hagen where i was enages in the Major Rehabilitation of Highlands H.way specifically between road section - Pup Bridge and Kagul Bridge, in western Highlands province, Papua New Guinea.
Later, 2017, after completion of of my study worked as Graduate Engineer with China Harbour Engineering Company Limited, doing Supervision on the 4 lane road project in Mount Hagen.
In 2018, I joined the Department and held the position of Road Technology Engineer working at Material Science and Technology Branch from 2018 up to 2022. In Mid 2022, I was elevated and moved over to the Procurement and Contract management Division positioned as the Senior Civil Engineer over looking Procurement and Contract management in the the southern region. Duties engages with in the last 6 years were were interesting and fascinating although challenging.
Current line of duties involve; Scoping, Preparation, of tender documents and contracts, Project Cost Estimation with Detail Unit Rate Analysis, Evaluation of Bids, and Management of Contracts.
Earlier line of duties while being as Road Technology involves; Testing and Evaluation of new road products and technologies, site visit and reporting of new and existing roads, cost benefit analysis, geotechnical site investigation on foundation for road pavement, building, airport runways pavement, sea ports etc.
