The Center for Infrastructure Construction Technology (CT-Obras) provides technological support and solutions for problems related to different building materials (concrete, asphalt, ground, overlays, among others), pathologies of pavements, structures, bridges, etc., and characterization and investigation of the geological and geotechnical behavior of soil and rock massifs and availability of mineral resources. Integrated multidisciplinary teams respond reliably and competently to technological challenges in civil engineering works and mining.
CT-Obras focuses on the mining and civil engineering markets (especially infrastructural works) and responds to the requirements of private construction, design and consulting companies, as well as public bodies of the state and federal governments. The CT-Obras team comprises researchers, most of them with Master and PhD degrees in areas connected to the Center’s field of activities, as well as specialized technicians and administrative personnel who provide support to the target areas. The Center’s researchers are civil engineers, mining, metallurgical, electrical and chemical engineers, geologists, geophysicists, physicists, chemists, technologists and statisticians.
