Larry Boing has over 36 years experience in the nuclear facility decommissioning field and is a recognized decommissioning professional at the national and international levels. He has worked in the field at many different levels over those years - at the site decommissioning project level, at the decommissioning program level and in various specialist areas related to and supporting the D&D areas. His work has been at a variety of numerous job sites - DOE sites, NRC sites and international sites. He has been involved with nearly every aspect of this sector of the industry. He has been involved over the last 21 years in supporting the nuclear decommissioning program activities of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). Activities there have included among others serving as a lecturer at various training courses/workshops and as a contributor/editor to the preparation of various technical reports. He has organized and directed training courses and fellowships - nationally and internationally - for numerous other D&D staff covering the entire decommissioning process. The breadth of his diverse international decommissioning activities include work with counterparts at IAEA, OECD/NEA, Eastern European countries, Romania, Latvia, Iraq, China, Canada, Japan, Argentina, Korea and Russia - to mention just a few. Recently he has also been involved in various other facets of the 'knowledge management' area as it relates to the decommissioning field. This includes working with the partner of ORAU in establishing a Decommissioning Certificate Program for those working in or wishing to work in the Decommissioning field.
My experiences cover all aspects of the entire nuclear facility and site decommissioning and remediation process.
I also have experience working in those areas related to nuclear in past work for the Department of Homeland Security.
