Review of the Jeddah Storm Dams Design, five dams, heights are ranged from 6.00 m to 16 meters retained the storm water to protect Jeddah City. Review of the design reports, structural stability of the dams that includes check seepage control, dams sliding and slope stability.
Design review of storm drainage main pump stations foundations and soil reports, about 13 pump stations. Check the design of diaphragm walls and pump station foundations for the auxiliary structures. Review of the geotechnical design reports and foundation for the pump stations and auxiliary structures. soil improvement techniques and calculation of the improved soil bearing capacity.
Dewatering workshop for the contractors is done to explain the optimum dewatering method that can be used in the project according the soil type and water quantity, design.
Review and comment for contractor’s method of statement, to construct shafts secant piles, diaphragm walls, and dewatering methods.
Review and supervise site activities related to concrete shafts construction, pump stations and pipe jacking procedures, dewatering systems and check the quality procedures on site supervision.
