    • Paul W. Mayne worked at Law Engineering from 1977 to 1987 in the McLean, VA office and specialized in subsurface investigations, foundation engineering, and dynamic compaction. Some of his most notable projects included the geotechnical site investigation for J-Labs (formerly CEBAF) in Newport News, VA; the Enon-Varina Bridge crossing the James River near Richmond, VA; The Massey Coal stevedoring facility; the WHCA hangar at Anacostia NAS-Bolling AFB; as well as projects located at the White House, Smithsonian Institution, and the US Capitol. Paul worked closely with their soils laboratory on a large USGS testing project involving sample cores from offshore Atlantic Ocean. With expertise in dynamically loaded foundations, Paul also assisted Ford Aerospace on satellite tracking facilities, including visits to sites in Thule, Greenland; Mount Etna, Sicily; and Wahiawa, Oahu, Hawaii.
