Raymond is currently the Project Manager of Bachy Soletanche Ltd with more than thirty forty years of experience in tendering, project management and technical study for projects. He takes lead in quality control and provide technical support to sites for materials like concrete and bentonite slurry, and he closely liaises with the Research and Development Department of Soletanche Bachy Group in France for technical development and quality control for the local group in Hong Kong. He completed his Diploma at Hong Kong Baptist College in 1980, and subsequently obtained MSc. degree in Construction Management at City University of Hong Kong in 2004, and MSc. degree in Applied Geosciences at The University of Hong Kong in 2005. He has worked with geotechnical projects in Hong Kong, Southeast Asia and China in ground investigation, directional drilling, instrumentation, piled foundation, ground anchoring, slope greening, site formation, soil and rock grouting, vibroflotation and ground improvement. He has also acted as Quality and Geotechnical Manager and Quality Control Manager for deep cement mixing and foundation projects. He is currently the Executive Member of Association of Geotechnical and Geo-environmental Specialists (HK), and also acted as the Group Leader of Ground Investigation Working Group of AGS (HK). He is also the Committee Member of Site Investigation Contractors’ Committee (SICC), and acted as the Vice-Chairman for SICC of Hong Kong Contractors Association (HKCA) from 2015 to 2017. He is an approved Site Agent and Geotechnical Engineer under the List of Approved Suppliers of Materials and Specialist Contractors for Public Works GIFW Category, and the Authority Signatory (AS) of RSC for GIFW Category under Buildings Department. He is also the Editor and Committee Member of Professional Branch of Geological Society of Hong Kong. On behalf of the Society, he joined the Working Group of Civil Engineering and Development Department (CEDD) for reviewing and updating the Geotechnical Control Office (GEO) Publication: Geoguide 4- Cavern Engineering.
