Leading technical and professional activities related to dam engineering, dam safety, geotechnical engineering, hydropower and water resources infrastructure at Power Aim.
Key responsibilities include:
• Providing technical leadership for dam design, dam safety assessment, geotechnical engineering and hydropower assignments.
• Leading and reviewing geotechnical investigations, foundation assessments, engineering geological evaluations and geotechnical design for dams and associated hydraulic structures.
• Providing input to dam type and axis selection, embankment dam zonation, foundation treatment, seepage control, drainage and filter systems, slope stability, settlement and deformation assessment.
• Technical assessment of existing dams, including dam safety evaluation, risk assessment, potential failure modes, geotechnical deficiencies and recommendations for corrective and remedial measures.
• Preparation of Dam Safety Plans, Operations & Maintenance Manuals, Surveillance & Monitoring Programs, Standard Operating Procedures and Emergency Action Plans (EAPs).
• Managing and coordinating multidisciplinary technical teams comprising dam engineers, geotechnical engineers, geologists, hydrologists, structural engineers, surveyors, environmental and social specialists.
• Participating in technical discussions with clients, government agencies, international consultants, contractors and other stakeholders.
• Supporting business development, preparation of technical proposals, development of methodologies and mobilization of specialist teams for national and international consulting assignments.
• Providing technical input to international dam and water infrastructure projects, including assignments involving challenging geological, hydrological and geotechnical conditions.
