  • China State Construction Engineering Corporation CSCEC : ( 01/04/2024 - 31/01/2025 )
    • Geological Manager - Key Person

    • Responsible for managing and coordinating a wide range of geological activities, including engineering geological, geotechnical, hydrogeological, and geophysical works. I acted as the Contractor’s Responsible Person for geological matters, ensuring effective coordination with the project team, consultant engineers, and the client on all geology-related issues. I was actively involved in tunnelling works using both TBM and NATM methods, including geological assessment, planning, and continuous support during excavation. My responsibilities included the preparation and review of technical method statements, geological tunnel face mapping, probe drilling, and detailed geological data analysis to support safe and efficient tunnelling operations. I also supervised and managed grouting activities, including pre-excavation grouting, pea-gravel grouting, post-grouting, and surface grouting works.
  • Uma Oya Development Project- Ministry of Irrigation Project Management Unit : ( 01/02/2023 - 31/03/2024 )
    • Consultancy Engineering Geologist

    • The Ministry of Irrigation and Water Resources Management of Sri Lanka and Farab Company of Iran have entered into a Contract Agreement on 28th April 2008 for the construction of Uma Oya Multipurpose Development Project. This project intends to divert 145 MCM annually, from the Uma Oya in the Mahaweli basin to the Kirindi Oya basin, and generate 231 GWh energy annually from hydroelectric power plant with installed capacity of 120 MW. This project includes the construction of two reservoirs at Puhulpola and Dyraaba, a conveyance tunnel of 3.98 km length linking the two reservoirs, a 15.2 km long head race tunnel, a powerhouse and a tailrace tunnel. The Head Race Tunnel (HRT) with intake in the Dyraaba Reservoir, conveying 145 MCM annually, leads to the underground Power House, with an installed capacity of 120 MW, at Karandagolla. The tailrace tunnel from the Power House is directed into the Alikota Ara Oya. The total estimated cost for the project is USD 514 M. The CECB has assigned a team of professionals, of senior Consultants and Engineers of varying experience, to carry out the consultancy work stipulated in the Term of Reference as the Employer’s Site Representative. The team of Civil Engineers, including an Engineering Geologist, and an Environmentalist has been covering civil construction and environmental aspects of the works in progress. The geotechnical aspects of two RCC main dams, drilled and blast link tunnel, TBM drilled Head Raise Tunnel, underground power house and tail raise tunnel are inspected and consulted by my self as an engineering geologist.
