During my internship in geotechnical investigation of the Gabral Kalam Hydropower Project, I acquired practical experience in soil and rock sampling, rock classification, rock core logging (TCR, CR, RQD, joints, fractures, infilling materials, drill breaks), geophysical surveys, borehole drilling, supervision of in-situ tests (CPT, SPT, permeability, water pressure), geotechnical report writing, daily program reporting, logging ongoing activities, and groundwater observation. This internship greatly enhanced my understanding of geotechnical challenges and solutions within the context of hydropower projects.
