GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEER NEEDED - ORLANDO, FL


The Senior Geotechnical Engineer should have a minimum of 5 years experience in both general construction practices and in geotechnical engineering. The Staff Engineer is entry to less than 5 years. This individual has a four year degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Engineering. The Senior Geotechnical Engineer will be responsible for directing Project and Staff Engineers with management of geotechnical explorations, performing boring layout, classifying soils, supervising lab testing and writing Geotechnical reports and cost proposals. Additionally the Senior Geotechnical Engineer may be responsible for supervision of field technicians, supervising and mentoring staff geotechnical engineers during the construction services phase of the work, monitoring job progress, performance and project status. Typical projects include evaluations for shallow and deep foundations, retaining walls, subsurface drainage, embankments and roadways, bridges and pavement design. REQUIREMENTS: Successful candidate will have a bachelors or preferably a masters degree in civil engineering with an interest in geotechnical engineering from an ABET accredited school, possess P.E.
