Geotechnical Engineer/Lab Manager- Immediate Position needed!!!!
The ideal candidate will manage all aspects of soils lab operations for the firms Geotechnical Division. Responsibilities will include managing daily operations of the Cambridge Laboratory, quality control and review of all laboratory testing, and managing workflow. The candidate will also supervise laboratory staff who will conduct laboratory testing as required, manage quality control of all geotechnical testing conducted by other labs within the division or temporary worksite laboratories, manage relationships with internal clients and manage field technicians who conduct geotechnical field testing including nuclear density testing. The candidate will build, manage and grow a group that will conduct geotechnical field testing and construction inspection. BS in civil engineering required; MS degree in geotechnical engineering preferred. A scientist with a degree in geology or engineering geology with laboratory management experience would be acceptable. 3-5 years of related work experience required; direct experience in managing geotechnical laboratories preferred. Proven ability to manage technical, marketing and business responsibilities associated with a profit center. We seek a candidate who will deliver the highest level of technical performance, manage the profit centers financial performance and grow the laboratory and the field-testing/inspection capabilities for the Geotechnical division.
