Geotechnical Engineers St. Louis, Missouri Full-time, exempt professional positions. Responsibilities include: *Prepare geotechnical engineering proposals. *Plan field explorations and sample collection. *Plan geotechnical laboratory testing programs. *Perform engineering analyses and calculations. *Write geotechnical engineering reports. *Interact and communicate with clients. Requirements include: *3-8 years experience, with experience in the Midwest required. *License to practice engineering in Missouri or eligibility for licensure by comity. *M.S. degree, Civil Engineering with geotechnical specialty. *Geotechnical design experience in one or more of the following areas: --Shallow and deep foundations for buildings and other structures. --Navigation structures and appurtenant works. --Earth dams and levees including hydrologic analyses. --Construction dewatering. --Railroad and highway embankments and bridges. --Soil and rock tunneling. *Requires some travel and a valid drivers license. *This position requires critical thinking and analysis; frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, and lifting and carrying 30+ pounds; working in all weather conditions; and driving to and from job sites. *Excellent writing, organizational, and communication skills essential.
