Openings forMS and PhD Students in Geotechnical Engineering.
Hello, I'm looking for a few highly motivated individuals who are interested in pursuing an M.S. or Ph.D. in geotechnical engineering under my direction at Ecole Polytechnique in Montreal (Quebec) Canada. The areas of specialization you could follow include liquefaction, the seismic stability of conventional and tailings dams, deep excavation support, deep foundations, and numerical modeling. As for me, I've recently joined the faculty of Ecole Polytechnique after 27 years of experience in geotechnical design and consulting in the U.S. and Canada. B.Sc. Civil Engineering - Carnegie-Mellon University (1983) M.Sc. Geotechnical Engineering - University of California, Berkeley (1989) Ph.D. Ecole Polytechnique, Montreal (2009). Please feel free to contact me via email. Michael James, Ph.D. Assistant Professor of Civil Engineering (Geotechnical). [email protected]
