Plaxis 2D and 3D modelling of propped sheet pile wall

I am comparing the analysis of sheet pile walls in plaxis 2D and 3D, to begin my parametric study I need to develop a model in each program of the same scenario to give the same results. Ie i am modelling a plain strain scenario in the 3D software. I have the 3D model behaving as a plain strain system and all parameters. dimensions etc. are the same yet i am getting different results for bending moments and displacements between the two models. any help or ideas would be great I am totally stuck I have tried everything I can think of.
