Saturation of Clay soil samples in triaxial test
Dear All; I've got some difficulty in saturation a CL clay 38mm soil sample in triaxial test. I'm using increment of back pressure method but it took me 4 days and it was not saturated yet (a degree of sat. of 70%!) Recently i'm gonna use carbon dioxide (Co2) for ease of saturation process (due to the fact that water solubility of Co2 into water is more than air into water) but even after 7 hours i couldnt see Co2 boubles coming out from top back pressure line (Co2 entering the soil from bottom back pressure line). Has anybody any experience in this case? Please keep me informed as i'm really stuck in this phase. Many Regards
