Sharing JNIOSH research on crane stability and supporting ground

I am a research fellow and former Director of the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health, Japan (JNIOSH).

 

I would like to share a short YouTube video from the JNIOSH channel introducing our geotechnical studies on supporting ground for mobile cranes and pile drivers used in construction works.

The studies focus on evaluating ground bearing performance to help prevent overturning incidents of construction machinery.

 

I would be interested to hear how ground conditions for crane operations are currently assessed in your countries or projects, and whether similar approaches are used in practice.
