Sr. Geotechnical Engineer Needed - Philadelphia Area

Our Wind Program is currently seeking a dynamic individual for a position as a Senior Geotechnical Engineer. The successful candidate should be self motivated and interested in working with a highly qualified team of engineering professionals to provide high quality technical service on a national basis. This position requires a minimum of 15 years progressive professional experience and an advanced degree in geotechnical engineering. The successful candidate will mentor junior engineering staff and integrate geotechnical work with other disciplines as part of a design build team. Projects may include alternative renewable energy facilities (wind, solar, biofuels, etc.), coastal and marine facilities, industrial, solid waste, and military facilities throughout all 50 United States. Preferred experience includes: coupled soil-structure interaction, tower foundations, marine structures, geologic hazards mitigation, solid waste facility design, geosynthetics, geotechnical characterization, soil improvement, deep and shallow foundations, foundation underpinning, dewatering, earth retaining structures, shoring design, and innovative solutions to complex geotechnical problems. The successful candidate should have sound technical skills for analysis, knowledge of geotechnical investigation techniques and have deep understanding of the civil and structural ramifications of geotechnical issues. This position will manage geotechnical design teams for projects, develop concepts for mitigating geotechnical issues to meet project requirements, assist in resolving construction issues to integrate geotechnical issues into multidisciplinary projects.
