United Geospatial Ltd. is currently seeking a full-time Survey Party Chief/Geomatics Technologist to work out of their Edmonton office. You will play a pivotal role in the infield coordination of survey projects that require an in-field team lead for multiple construction projects, training of junior crews, and client liaison/collaboration. United Geospatial Ltd. services clients throughout Alberta, so travel and out of town work does form 40% of our core business, with the remaining 60% being in the Edmonton area. The successful candidate will be a graduate of a registered Survey or Geomatics Technology program, or have equivalent experience in a related field. Candidates pursuing registration as an Alberta Land Surveyor through CBEPS or MRO are welcome to apply. You will also need experience running a survey crew. To be successful, you must be well versed with all aspects of subdivision and construction surveying, and be proficient in RTK and static GPS data collection and processing. If you have experience using MicroSurvey software, Leica Geomatics Office, have H2S certification, First Aid, ATV, and chainsaw faller safety, then you will be at an advantage above the rest! Strong work ethic and values are crucial to this active role, as are excellent communication skills, and you will be required to work throughout the Edmonton area for extended periods of time as part of a crew or as an individual.
