We are pleased to announce the update of “SO-Foundation”.

According to the users’ feedback, the following capabilities are added to SO-Foundation:

        1- UI scaling.
        2- The top menu may or may not be displayed.
        3- Presentation of custom load-settlement graphs.
            By user’s will, a constant value for “quser”, “B” or “L/B” is considered and the calculations are performed for all footings.
        4- Excavation effect may or may not be considered in consolidation settlement.
            Depending on the excavation effect and the footing type (Spread, Continuous & Mat), there are 3 modes for the calculation of initial effective overburden pressure.
            Effective preconsolidation pressure can also be determined by 3 approaches (Auto, P′c & OCR).
            As a result, consolidation settlement calculations can be performed by 9 methods.
        5- A specified fraction of consolidation settlement will be taken into account by user’s will.
        6- Consolidation settlement can be considered for any arbitrary layer (beneath or above the water table).

You may access full software capabilities by activating the free 15-day trial license. For this purpose, you may do the following:

        1- Download SO-Foundation by clicking the link below:

        2- Install and run the program in demo mode.
        3- Click on “License” on the top menu and then choose “Trial license request”.
        4- Fill the request form and submit.

Within a maximum of two working days, an e-mail will be sent containing the license file and the guide to activate it. It has to be noted that the license is valid 15 days from the reply date.
