The New International Passenger Terminal at Velana International Airport, Maldives

One of the most interesting and challengable projects . The new international passenger terminal at Velana airport which is well known as "Ibrahim Nasir Airport" at Male, Republic of Maldives.

Main objectives:

  1. To perform subsoil investigation for the suggested expansion site at the airport and to submit a full detailed geotechnical data and aspects of the soil conditions.
  2. Performing of pressuremeter tests at deep depths to get proper approaches for elastic mouduli od the rock formations.
  3. Design of deep foundations for different categories of depth and diameter and bearing pressures.
  4. Recommend for suitable method of dewatering and excavation and retaining systems during construction.
  5. Suggest a proper solutions for protection against Tsunamis, earthquakes that could cause any damage for the infrastructure and terminal foundations.
