North American Pile Testing Authority (NAPTA) specializes in pile load and pull testing services with a focus on solar installations. We partner with EPC contractors, developers, and engineering firms to ensure foundation systems meet or exceed design requirements.
Position Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Geotechnical Engineer with proven expertise in pile load testing (static compression, tension, and lateral). The ideal candidate will have both hands-on field experience and technical design/reporting expertise, with a strong understanding of ASTM standards (D1143, D3689, D3966) and the unique demands of solar foundation systems.
Responsibilities
Lead and oversee pile load and pull testing projects for small to large solar installations.
Supervise field operations, including hydraulic jack setup, load cell instrumentation, and data acquisition.
Ensure compliance with safety protocols and industry standards.
Analyze test results and prepare professional engineering reports (PE stamp preferred).
Collaborate with EPC contractors, developers, and project managers to ensure on-time project delivery.
Mentor junior staff and provide technical guidance.
Qualifications
Bachelors or Masters degree in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering.
Professional Engineer (PE) license strongly preferred.
Minimum 810 years experience with pile load testing and deep foundations.
Hands-on field experience with hydraulic equipment, load cells, and instrumentation.
Strong communication and report-writing skills.
Experience in solar or renewable energy projects highly desirable.
