Its activities include developing guidelines and technical recommendations, compiling international case histories, supporting conferences and knowledge exchange, and promoting collaboration among researchers, practitioners, public agencies, industry, and early-career professionals.
The disaster mitigation and rehabilitation can be done not only by geotechnical engineers/researchers, but also by the collaboration with wide variety of specilasit including urban planner, economist, lawyers, etc. Therefore, the collaboration with people in other fields is highly encouraged in TC activities.
