Joint salon on liquefaction case history and database application organized by Youth Committee of SSC/CGEE, ISSMGE/TC303 and ISSMGE/TC304 was hosted on Nov 3,2018 at Nanjing. This salon was also an academic event for the 10th National Conference on Soil Dynamics. Prof. Yumin Chen (Secretory of TC303), Associate Prof. Armin Stuedlein (Vice chair of TC304), Prof. Jie Zhang (Secretory of TC304) and Prof. Yanguo Zhou (organizer of the liquefaction database) attended the joint salon. Prof. Armin gave an invitational speech on ‘American liquefaction database’, Prof. Guojun Cai for Southeast University gave a speech on liquefaction potential assesment based on CPTU.

Prof. Yumin Chen concluded the main results of the joint salon. He proposed that researchers all over the world should work together to combine the research on liquefaction database and data analysis to provide guidelines for liquefaction mitigation.
