TC219 Workshop at the 21st ICSMGE in Vienna
TC219 successfully organized a technical workshop during the 21st ICSMGE in Vienna. Four technical presentations were delivered during the workshop. The presentations addressed several key challenges in geotechnical engineering, including the safety performance of column-supported embankments, the consideration of different uncertainty scenarios in geotechnical design, the monitoring and back-analysis of shallow tunnelling impacts, and the resilience of underground infrastructure under extreme flooding. The workshop provided a valuable forum for sharing recent research, practical experience, and new approaches to improving the safety and resilience of geotechnical infrastructure.
