The newly established Asian Regional Technical Committee on Biogeotechnics (AsRTC 22) is expanding its international network and invites ISSMGE Member Societies to nominate experts interested in contributing to this growing field. The committee aims to advance sustainable, bio-mediated geotechnical solutions through international collaboration, research, education, and capacity building.
Biogeotechnics integrates geotechnical engineering with microbiology and environmental science to develop innovative and low-carbon solutions for challenges such as ground improvement, erosion control, seepage reduction, environmental remediation, and sustainable infrastructure.
