We have upcoming deadlines for 2 very prestigious awards aimed at recognising young geotechnical engineers! The upcoming deadlines are for the International Conference on Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering (ICSMGE) to be held in Sydney, Australia in September 2021. This is the largest gathering of international geo-professionals and it takes place once every four years.
First, the more academically focused Bright Spark Lectures where the recipient will have the opportunity to give a keynote lecture at the ICSMGE. The deadline for applications will be extended to 1 August from the previous deadline of 1 June.
Second, the Outstanding Young Geotechnical Engineers Award, which is intended to recognize overall contributions to the professional society. The deadline for this award is 1 July.
