Were excited to announce the new YMPG Core Team for the 2022-2024 term!
The YMPG includes 6 full members from different parts of the world, who are appointed by the Board. Ashe Cooper (New Zealand) is the chair and the members include Ezra Tjung (USA/Indonesia), Judy Eid (UK/Lebanon), Mingliang Zhou (China), Mario Terceros (USA/Bolivia), and Bridget Lokoe (Ghana). In addition to the full members, the YMPG also has many more corresponding members from around the world. Corresponding Members (CM) are kept informed of the work and progress of the YMPG, but are not allowed to vote on any initiatives. While the YMPG can only have 6 full members, the number of corresponding members is unlimited. If you are interested, you can apply to be a Corresponding Member here.
The mission of the YMPG is to engage the next generation of geotechnical engineers in the ISSMGE. This is accomplished through mobilising students and younger members from across the world to share knowledge and ideas, to connect with leaders in the field, and to create opportunities for the international geotechnical community.
