Brisbane, 28-30 October 2025. The Australasian Land & Groundwater Associations (ALGA) biennial EcoForum conference comes to the Brisbane Convention Centre later this month, bringing together consultants, scientists, regulators, industry professionals, and suppliers for three days of technical talks, training, and networking. Registration is open, and delegates can earn up to 19 CPD points.
Theme & focus
This year's theme, 'From Contamination to Restoration: Protect, Sustain, Thrive,' centers on practical pathways from investigation and risk assessment through to remediation and recovery, reflecting the sector's increased emphasis on resilient and sustainable outcomes.
Program at a glance
ALGA has released a new interactive preliminary program, with parallel streams hosted across the Rainforest, Sunshine, Beach, and Reef rooms at the venue. A printable version is coming soon.
Beyond the main agenda, ALGA is offering add-on workshops in Brisbane on Monday, 27 October (e.g., ASC NEPM risk assessment, landfill gas mitigation, and geochemical modelling), as well as a University of Queensland lab tour on Friday, 31 October. These activities are available to EcoForum delegates and, in many cases, to non-delegates as well. https://landandgroundwater.com/events/ecoforum-brisbane-2025/

Its mission is to advance the protection, restoration, and responsible management of land and groundwater across Australasia.
