EScIS (EarthScience Information Systems) has recently released the Data Migration Module (DMM) to import or export data via Excel or EDIF to ESdat. The Data Migration Module is an upgrade for ESdat Online or ESdat Server and encapsulates the import and bulk editing functionality previously available through ESdat Desktop.
The Data Migration Module allows bulk import of Historical Chemistry, Locations, Wells, Borehole, Geology and all other data previously supported through the ESdat Desktop imports. The Data Migration Module (DMM) is also used to transfer complete project datasets in EDIF or Excel formats.

The Data Migration Module performs sophisticated error checking and provides resolution options.
The Data Migration Module is currently available for all ESdat Online or Hosted ESdat Server clients with a DMM Licence. Organisations that have ESdat Server can credit ESdat Desktop Licences to DMM Licences.
Data Sharing
ESdat Provides live and secure access to all stakeholders.
Multiple stakeholders may require access to a single live system that contains all environmental and geological data about a Site and Project. This may be an infrastructure project involving multiple consultancies and government departments or a Mine site requiring internal staff and consultants access. Users can be given access to view or add data only for a specific project or site without accessing other data.
Export and Import data
The ESdat Data Migration Module provides data transfer to/from ESdat and other systems via numerous file formats, including Excel, EDIF and others. You can create blank Excel-based ESdat Import Templates, send them to others to populate and return, and upload the data for validation and import.
Public Portals
The ESdat Public Portal provides an easy way to share approved data on a simple map interface. It can be shared with the public without requiring a login, or a login can be required to restrict who can view the data.

ESdat is a single repository for storing, analysing and reporting your environmental investigation and monitoring data. ESdat validates and imports data from laboratories, data loggers, field apps and spreadsheets. Users can filter and view data using the built-in graphing, mapping, tabulation, statistical and report generation tools. Increasing efficiency and confidence in the data are often cited as key benefits by organisations using ESdat.
